Nepal National Workshop on PREGA

The objectives of the meeting are to:

• present the outcome of activities carried out in Phase I of PREGA to all important stakeholders
• assess the needs for capacity building
• find ways to increase investments on renewable energy, energy efficiency and greenhouse gas abatement projects in Nepal.

At the end of the workshop, the participants

• would be aware of the activities and updated with the outcome of PREGA Phase I
• would be updated with the outcome of the Phase I
• could identify capacity building needs in each of their specific sectors.

About 80-100 important stakeholders from the government, private sector, I/NGOs, research institutions, donors etc. participated in the workshop.
