The 14^th IMT-GT Ministerial Meeting
(Back-to-Back with the 14^th IMT-GT Senior Officials Meeting and 4^th Governors and Chief Ministers Forum)

The 14^th Ministerial Meeting (MM) of the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) was convened in Songkhla Province, Thailand on 6 September 2007 and hosted by the Government of Thailand. The Meeting noted the process achieved in IMT-GT cooperation, reaffirmed commitment to the IMT-GT vision and strategy, and provided directions to better achieve the subregion's Roadmap for Development, 2007-2011.

The ADB delegation to the Meeting was led by Mr. Kuniki Nakamori, Deputy Director General, Southeast Asia Department. Read his Statement.

The Ministerial Meeting was preceded by the 14^th IMT-GT Senior Officials Meeting on 2-5 September 2007, which endorsed the admission of six new member provinces from Thailand, and which considered the proposed new institutional arrangements to oversee the IMT-GT programme, including the establishment of the IMT-GT Secretariat, the Center for IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation (CIMT).

The 4^th Governors' and Chief Ministers' Forum endorsed the SOM's report and expressed support for the events and activities of the Visit IMT-GT Year 2008.
