Professional facilitation by ADB consultants was provided. The consultation include:

Presentations

• Rationale, objectives, scope and expected outputs of SPU; and consultation purpose and process
• Overview of proposed Safeguard Policy Statement

Plenary

• Plenary discussion will follow the presentations. The plenary will provide an open structure to enable participants to define the specific issues regarding the Consultation Draft of the Safeguard Policy Statement [ PDF: 509kb | 86 pages ] that they would like to clarify.

Around 25-30 participants from various stakeholder groups are expected to participate in each of the consultations in US and Canada.

A summary of proceedings will be circulated to the participants to verify accuracy and completeness. The final report will be made publicly available.
