Plenary Session - III: Country Stakeholders’ Roundtables: Implementing the Plan of Action
Chair: Minister from one of the participating countries
Diverse stakeholders from each country will deliberate on how to implement the draft regional plan of action in their own country.
Discussion will focus on:
- Articulating the role of stakeholders in implementing the plan of action
- Identifying the key actions that would be relevant to a particular country
- Monitoring mechanisms
- Aligning the national development strategies with the MDGs
- Mobilizing and channelling internal and external resources to reaching the MDG Targets that are relevant to the respective country situation
Each country round table session will be chaired by a representative of the respective government.
