At the end of the workshop the participants will develop a better understanding of the positive and negative outcomes of REI for the poor living in border provinces in the GMS. Based on their understanding, they will be able to develop policies and programs that will help the governments of the GMS to make the REI process more socially inclusive and pro-poor. The particular needs of ethnic minorities, migrant workers and other vulnerable groups will be better understood and factored into projects and programs.
