ADB Participation at the UN Climate Change Conference 2007

ADB was formally admitted to the Conference of the Parties (COP) as an official observer organization during 3rd COP in 1997 and has participated in the annual meeting ever since.
This year's event is expected to be the largest and highest-level gathering in the Asia-Pacific to date on climate change.

At this year’s COP, ADB is sponsoring one official side-event and two seminars. These events aim to highlight ADB’s activities that address climate change and discuss with participants on how to move forward given the worsening climate change challenges and emerging priorities.
The following ADB-sponsored events have been scheduled:
- Moving Forward with Climate Change Adaptation Measures in Asia and the Pacific, 7 December 2007, 1:30-3:30 pm
- Scaling up Private Investment in Clean Energy and Low Carbon Alternatives, 7 December 2007, 4-6 pm
- Asian Knowledge Mart on Clean Energy and Climate Change, 10 December 2007, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
