As lead country of the WG, Indonesia presented the Report of the 1^st WG Meeting on Human Resources Development (WGHRD). The Meeting was a continuation to the 4^th Implementing Technical Group (ITG) on Cross Sectoral Development as affirmed in the IMT-GT Roadmap 2007-2011. The Meeting discussed the status and progress of WG activities and matters arising from the 4^th ITG Meeting on Cross Sectoral Development. The Meeting took note that the Task Force or Expert WGs to monitor and coordinate the progress of cooperation-agreed projects should be established. New project proposals submitted by the IMT-GT countries were noted, namely: two (2) from Indonesia dealing with HRD exhibition and harmonization of competency standards; two (2) from Thailand on the management and people mobility and seminar on women participation in the labor market; and six (6) from Malaysia comprising of training and study visits on occupational safety and health, labor management relations, productivity-wage linkages and other related issues. It was agreed that coordination and cooperation among focal points for each IMT-GT member country would be strengthened to further discuss new project proposals.
