Preventing the Trafficking of Women and Children and Promoting Safe Migration in the GMS

ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines: 25-27 July, 2007

Purpose | Objectives | Expected Outputs | Target Participants

This workshop will bring together representatives of governments from the GMS, UN representatives, NGOs,and researchers, in order to discuss the issue of human trafficking in the GMS, and most relevant approaches to combating it.

At the end of the workshop the participants will develop a better understanding of the causes of vulnerability to human trafficking, the various levels at which it needs to be combated. Guidelines for ADB and the Government to address the risks of human trafficking more effectively will be finalized.
