Since its establishment in 2003, the Network of Asian River Basin Organizations (NARBO) has fast-tracked information and experiences sharing and strengthened its members’ effectiveness in promoting integrated water resources management (IWRM) and improving water governance in the Asia-Pacific region.
During its 3rd General Meeting in Solo, Indonesia on 20-22 February 2008, NARBO members decided to convene the 1st NARBO Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting to review and revamp NARBO’s IWRM training course. This move was agreed upon to improve the IWRM training course by incorporating experiences gained over the past 4 years and taking into account developments by other training providers.
This 1st NARBO TAC meeting was organized back-to-back with the Asia-Pacific Water Forum’s Network of Water Knowledge Hubs. Selected experts from the knowledge hubs meeting were invited to join NARBO’s Chair, Vice-Chair, and secretariat team in this event.
