Forum on Community-Driven Development and Strategy 2020

The forum will discuss the relevance and potential benefits of CDD in implementing Strategy 2020 and decide on directions in scaling up CDD in ADB operations. It will also serve as a venue for exchange of experience in the implementation of CDD among practitioners.

The outputs are: (i) a corporate view on the near–2-3 years–and long term directions in scaling up CDD drawn from the experience and views of operational departments and the related role of RSDD, and (ii) improved understanding by ADB staff and DMC representatives of the benefits and challenges of using CDD.

The forum will comprise 3 main sessions :( i) an exchange of views on the use of CDD among ADB Management and senior staff to decide on future directions of CDD in ADB, (ii) learning sessions on practical and operational experience on CDD presented by project implementors and practitioners, and (iii) a field visit to a CDD site in the Philippines.
