The Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF) is a network that identifies and adopts solutions to water issues in the region. Its goal is to contribute to sustainable water management for achieving the Millennium Development Goals Water Targets in the Asia-Pacific. ADB is a staunch supporter of the APWF and takes the lead in a number of its priority themes on water issues and challenges common to the region and key result areas (KRAs) that direct actions to ensure progress under each theme.
One of APWF’s thrusts supported by ADB is to build a network of water knowledge hubs that would serve as centers of excellence committed to improving water security in the Asia-Pacific region. These knowledge hubs are envisioned to promote knowledge sharing and champion feasible solutions for the region’s water challenges.
This event introduced regional KnowledgeHubs and their services, partnerships, and networks to Singapore International Water Week participants and invited experts and partners.
