Background and Objectives | Participants | Program
Research is one of the three outputs of the CAREC Institute to provide world-class knowledge and information to the participating countries of the CAREC Program. The other two outputs are professional development and dialogue programs. Thus, partnering with research institutes in Central Asia is a crucial and beneficial component of the Institute's Research output.
On 12 March 2009, the CAREC Institute conducted an inaugural meeting with representatives of research institutes, which are considered to be potential collaborators on the Institute's Flagship Research Program. Among the objectives of this meeting were to:

- introduce the CAREC Program and the Institute to leading researchers from CAREC participating countries
- introduce the Institute's Flagship Research Program and opportunities for collaboration
