Seminar on Bond Financing For Infrastructure Projects-Opportunities for Lao, PDR

This seminar is part of the ASEAN+3 Asian Bond Markets Initiative's (ABMI) ongoing efforts to promote the development of infrastructure bonds denominated in local currency, facilitate the issuances of such bonds, and encourage investment in and trading of cross-border infrastructure bonds.

At the end of the seminar, participants will have been:

• provided an introduction and technical information on the use of bonds as a form of infrastructure financing; and
• promoted awareness of potential infrastructure financing opportunities.

• various options for infrastructure projects;
• investors/investment banker's perspective and view on bond financing for infrastructure projects;
• rating issues; and
• legal and regulatory issues.

Participation is by invitation only. About 60 Lao government officials and policymakers are invited to attend this seminar.
