High Level Public Private Sector Consultation Meeting (PPCM)
Intercontinental Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, 9-11 September 2004

Purpose

To foster greater partnerships between the GMS public and private sectors through continuing dialogue and consultation.

Objectives

At the end of the PPCM, the participants would have:

• Agreed on concrete measures to further strengthen public-private sector collaboration within the framework of the GMS Program
• Acquired greater awareness of the GMS Program, the 11 flagship initiatives, and concrete opportunities for private sector participation in the GMS Program
• Enhanced networking among public and private sector partners, including international development institutions

Expected Outputs

• Specific recommendations that will be forwarded to the GMS13th Ministerial Meeting and the second GMS Summit
• A continuing mechanism for public-private sector dialogue

Participation is by invitation only

• GMS Ministers and senior officials
• GMS Business Forum Core Group
• GMS private sector representatives
• Development partners from international development organizations and bilateral agencies
• Private sector representatives from outside the GMS
