Updated: 2 April 2004
The Compliance Review Panel (CRP) had its inaugural panel meeting
on 22-24 March 2004 and approved its draft operating procedures.
The CRP invites comments by 29 April 2004 on the CRP
Draft Operating Procedures from interested parties.
These procedures are based on the policy paper on "Review of the Inspection
Function: Establishment of a New ADB Accountability Mechanism" approved
by the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Board of Directors on 29 May 2003 and on
Operations Manual Section L1 on ADB Accountability Mechanism dated 29
October 2003. Extensive consultations both outside and within ADB were conducted
during the formulation of the policy. The ADB Accountability Mechanism became
effective on 12 December 2003.
