The Inspection Function ceased to exist on 19 August 2004, upon Board approval of the Inspection Committee's Report on the Chashma Right Bank Irrigation Project (Stage III) Inspection. It is replaced by the Accountability Mechanism.

Part I of this Guidebook contains questions and answers about some key aspects of ADB's Inspection Policy.

Part II contains the operating procedures for the inspection policy, which were approved in October 1996. A diagram illustrating the inspection process is included at the end of these procedures.

Part III contains sample forms for initial complaints to Management and requests for inspeciton.

Questions about the operating procedures for the inspection policy should be directed to the Office of the Secretary at ADB's Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

The online edition is free of charge.
