The Indigenous People's Plan
ensures that the indigenous cultural communities' (ICC) benefit from the increase agricultural production, micro-enterprise development, improved road access, and improved technical trainings. The IPP, as an affirmative action for the ICC, ensures that their development aspirations are integrated into the local government agencies' community planning and budgetary process.
The Indigenous People's Plan will:
- promote the indigenous cultural communities' participation in the credit cooperatives and other project committees to enable them to contribute in the decision making process, especially those concerning project implementation
- improved the quality of technical training for indigenous cultural communities on sustainable farming methods, micro-enterprise development, health care, and environment education
- improve the capacity of indigenous cultural communities to identify and plan community activities that will improve their economic status
- facilitate the indigenous cultural communities' access to external assistance
- incorporate community development component in the Katu Village
resettlement framework and plan
- ensure that the Katu Village Resettlement will not be worse
that their existing situation and will be properly assessed after
their resettlement
