Community Empowerment For Rural Development Project
Indonesia
An Indigenous
Peoples' Plan ensures that indigenous communities would
have the same opportunity to benefit from ADB assisted development
activities. These groups have been unable to fully participate in
development activities because of problems associated with isolation
and, sometimes, cultural stereotyping and negative bias of the mainstream
society. The Indigenous Peoples Plan, as part of the inclusive and
participatory development strategy, incorporates the concerns of
indigenous peoples in the planning and implementation of the project.
