Selected national and district nongovernment organizations (NGOs)
DOA will establish a JFPR project desk as part of the project coordination unit of the counterpart Crop Diversification Project (CDP). The project coordinator of CDP will concurrently act as the project manager for the JFPR project to ensure effective project implementation and coordination with CDP.
The Project will be implemented in five lowland districts (Kanchanpur, Kailali, Bardiya, Banke, and Dang) in Midwestern and Far Western development regions.
The targeted beneficiaries are poor and disadvantaged farmers in the project area, including formerly bonded agricultural laborers.
The Project will be implemented over a period of three years.
Reduce rural poverty in the poor regions of the country.
Project PurposeImprove access of poor and disadvantaged farmers to socioeconomic services.
Expected OutputSocial mobilization programs conducted for poor and disadvantaged farmers in the project area; and Institutional strengthening of local NGOs and community-based organizations (CBOs).
