Variable Lending Rates Applicable 1 July to December 2002

  1. The variable lending rates for ADB’s multi-currency and US dollar loan facilities are adjusted on 1 January and 1 July each year. For each facility, the lending rate is determined by adding a spread of 0.6 percent per annum to the preceding six months’ average cost of the relevant pool of outstanding ADB’s borrowings.

  2. For the multi-currency loans, the average cost of the pool of outstanding borrowings during the period 1 January to 30 June 2002 was 3.31 percent. Accordingly, the variable lending rate to be in effect from 1 July to 31 December 2002 for such loans is 3.91 percent per annum.

  3. For the US dollar loans, the average cost of the pool of outstanding borrowings during the period 1 January to 30 June 2002 was 5.74 percent. Accordingly, the variable lending rate to be in effect from 1 July to 31 December 2002 for such loans is 6.34 percent per annum.
