Variable Lending Rates Applicable 1 July to December 2002
The variable lending rates for ADB’s multi-currency and US dollar loan
facilities are adjusted on 1 January and 1 July each year. For each facility, the
lending rate is determined by adding a spread of 0.6 percent per annum to the
preceding six months’ average cost of the relevant pool of outstanding ADB’s
borrowings.
For the multi-currency loans, the average cost of the pool of outstanding
borrowings during the period 1 January to 30 June 2002 was 3.31 percent.
Accordingly, the variable lending rate to be in effect from 1 July to 31 December
2002 for such loans is 3.91 percent per annum.
For the US dollar loans, the average cost of the pool of outstanding
borrowings during the period 1 January to 30 June 2002 was 5.74 percent.
Accordingly, the variable lending rate to be in effect from 1 July to 31 December
2002 for such loans is 6.34 percent per annum.
