Project Description

The TA aims to strengthen the approaches of ADB and its developing member countries in urban upgrading, poverty reduction, and pro-poor governance by

  • increasing awareness of the nexus between urban violence, poverty, and ineffective governance
  • developing a body of empirical knowledge, including common lessons and suitable options to mitigate urban violence and enhance public safety and security in urban areas.

Its focus will be on the safety of the urban residents, especially the poor.
