Project Summary

The TA will assist in identifying detailed needs for the restoration and improvement of basic living conditions for people affected by the tsunami in coastal areas and for people affected by the conflict. This TA will also assist in the preparation of implementation strategies for emergency assistance programs and help finalize the joint needs assessment of rehabilitation needs in the affected districts.

The TA will undertake the following:

  1. extensive field visits, including consultation with people affected by the conflict, to verify assessments and add information to the existing joint needs assessment
  2. develop implementation arrangements for a post-tsunami recovery strategy
  3. identify gaps and implementation ability of agencies and field technical assistants
