This regional technical assistance advocates knowledge management and promotion activities under the concept of linking the poor to the markets in Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam. Approved in July 2003, this RETA shall facilitate the development of markets to promote sustainable pro-poor economic growth and more equitable distribution of its benefits to accelerate poverty reduction, through research, policy dialogue and capacity development.

Additional funding was requested from the PRF, to increase the depth of research undertaken, including a modest amount for new study activities, and to increase the effectiveness of information dissemination, policy discussion and impact of the project. The request for additional funding was approved in November 2005.
