A Rare Find
ADB Review [ August 2005 ]

A RARE FIND— The saola (Pseudoryx nghetinhensis) is one of the world’s rarest mammals, found only in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and Viet Nam. Little is known about the saola due to its relatively inaccessible habitat. It is classified by the World Conservation Union as endangered, with a worldwide population of only 500—1,500.
