Reconstruction of Puli Baraq-Dar-i-Suf Road Launch
Afghanistan Resident Mission Country Director Craig Steffensen and Senior Portfolio Management Specialist Mark Prebich joined Afghanistan Vice-President Karim Khalili and Minister of Public Works Surab Ali Safari in launching the reconstruction project, part of the North-South Corridor Project.
“Today’s skyrocketing food costs, the rising impact of climate change, and the damaging effects of natural disasters call for immediate, practical, and more effective solutions to reducing poverty in the region,” ADB Vice-President Ursula Schaefer-Preuss said in her speech at the Asia Forum on Changing Asia: Forging Partnerships, Building Sustainability” on 29 August.
