Country Director Ayumi Konishi co-chaired a 2-day meeting on GMS Cross-Border Transport Agreement road transport permit which will, from 11 June, allow trucks and goods to pass through the East-West Corridor in Lao PDR, Thailand, and Viet Nam without transhipment.

Nepal Resident Mission: Best Performance Awarded to Three ADB Projects
Three projects-Road Connectivity, Teacher Education, and Small Towns Water Supply and Sanitation-received the Outstanding Project Management Team award at a ceremony held at the Nepal Resident Mission. Country Director Barry Hitchcock gave remarks at the event attended by secretaries of various ministries, project managers, and government officials. The Community Livestock Development Project also received a special recommendation.
