	ADB Helps Promote Bangladesh Women as Agents of Development ADB projects in Bangladesh are implementing activities that promote qualitative and quantitative participation of both women and men as beneficiaries, agents, and stakeholders.
ADB Assures Assistance to Mitigate the Ravages of Monsoon In response to the most recent flood crisis, ADB formed a flood monitoring unit and assured the Government of strong financial support in rehabilitating damaged infrastructure.
	Building the Capacity of Bangladesh Women as Leaders at the Grass Roots A regional technical assistance provided by ADB has helped grassroots women leaders in local government improve the performance of their roles and functions and promote more efficient and transparent public service.
Strategies for Growth and Development ADB's latest Country Strategy and Program Update (CSPU) for Bangladesh highlights selectivity of ADB interventions based on sector performance and demonstrated commitment to reform and institutional strengthening; continued support in key infrastructure and social sectors, where ADB has had a long-term involvement and positive track record; and promotion of private sector development and collaboration with NGOs.
	ADB President Reaffirms Support and Commitment to Bangladesh During his visit to Bangladesh last June, President Tadao Chino reaffirmed ADB's commitment and support to Bangladesh. Together with Bangladesh Finance and Planning Minister, M. Saifur Rahman, President Chino inaugurated the new office building of ADB's Bangladesh Resident Mission.
