Feature: Theft of personal identifiable information

The theft of personal identifiable information (PII) has been a growing concern to both private corporations and public organizations over the past years. PII is information that is unique to just one individual (such as name, date and place of birth, national identity identification number, social security number, e-mail address, or credit card / bank account details). Non-observance of procurement guidelines can lead to disciplinary actions
OAGI notes an increase in allegations regarding violations of ADB's Procurement Guidelines. Staff are reminded that it is against ADB's Procurement Guidelines to provide potential bidders with information that would provide them a competitive advantage. Refer to paragraph 1.12 of the Guidelines on the Use of Consultants by ADB and Its Borrowers [ PDF: 215kb | 51 pages ].


UN Employment Scams*
Beware of scams in the guise of employment and other opportunities at the UN. The scams involve fake opportunities purportedly at the UN in return for fees that cover a variety of services, including training, filing, or processing. Online offers such as these and follow-up phone calls may be fraudulent.
