Inside ADB

President Kuroda Opens Sydney Office
The Pacific Liaison and Coordination Office (PLCO) will support a key ADB objective - to be more responsive to the needs of its borrowing countries. The office will focus on programs in Kiribati, Nauru, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu in addition to building stronger ties with development partners in Australia and New Zealand.

ADB to Close Office in Vanuatu
The decision came after a government announcement to cease borrowing from multilateral lenders in the near to medium term. ADB's newly-opened Pacific Liaison and Coordination Office in Sydney and the South Pacific Subregional Office in Fiji will continue to assume responsibility for all activities in the Pacific. ADB will continue to support Vanuatu through technical assistance grants.
