ADB Accountability Mechanism
On 29 May 2003, ADB approved a new accountability mechanism to
address concerns of persons affected by ADB-assisted projects.
The ADB Accountability Mechanism consists of two separate but related
functions, a consultation phase and a compliance review phase, which
together replaces ADB's Inspection Function.
The effective date of the Mechanism is 12 December 2003.
