ADB Accountability Mechanism

On 29 May 2003, ADB approved a new accountability mechanism to address concerns of persons affected by ADB-assisted projects.

The ADB Accountability Mechanism consists of two separate but related functions, a consultation phase and a compliance review phase, which together replaces ADB's Inspection Function.

The effective date of the Mechanism is 12 December 2003.
