VII. Recommendations

51. It is recommended that the Board approve the following:

  1. the Bank should endorse the policy outlined in this paper to provide the fullest possible degree of transparency and disclosure in all areas of the Bank’s operations;

  2. the Bank should adopt a revised classification system as described in paragraphs 29-32 of this document, and procedures for the release of documents and information in accordance with the proposals set forth in paragraphs 33-45 of this paper;

  3. these recommendations should take effect on 1 January 1995; and

  4. the revised classification system and procedures for release of documents should be reviewed within 2 years after implementation, and the results of the review, together with proposals for additional action, if any, submitted to the Board.
