Regional cooperation

82. ADB will assist its DMCs in identifying and implementing energy projects (including hydropower and gas-based power generation projects mainly for export) that promote regional trade with economic gains for all participating countries. ADB will lend for such projects only when it has been demonstrated that the private sector is unwilling to accept the risks, or if the mitigation of such risks would result in a price that makes trade impossible.
