Recommendations

51. The following recommendations are submitted for the consideration and approval of the Board:

  1. The proposal for creation of a Board Inspection Committee and related inspection procedures, as outlined in paragraphs 19 through 50 of this paper, should be approved;

  2. The President should appoint the members of the initial Board Inspection Committee within three months after Board approval of the proposed recommendations, and nominate candidates for the initial Roster within six months after such approval;

  3. The proposed recommendations should take effect upon the Board's approval of the initial Roster; and

  4. The operation of the Board Inspection Committee and related inspection procedures, and consideration of the application of these inspection procedures to the Bank's private sector operations, should be reviewed by Management within two years after the Board's approval of the initial Roster, and the results of this review, together with any proposals for improvements in the operation of the Committee or in the related inspection procedures, should be submitted to the Board.
