E. Strategic Partnerships and Coordination among Development Agencies59. ADB should consider the strategic alliances it can develop in order to avoid duplication of efforts, mobilize additional resources, and ensure coordination of development interventions in DMCs. Coordination of development efforts is essential for long-term success. Strategic partnerships are also important to ensure optimal use of resources by coordinating the strengths of each institution in a determined DMC. 60. The Action Plan (Appendix 3) identifies specific issues with relevant development partners.
