    Description
    The Project will contribute to the reduction of extreme poverty and socially inclusive development through the integration of disadvantaged rural poor, smallholder and marginal farmers, poor women, as well as landless wage laborers, enabling them to participate in commerical agriculture.

    Objectives and Scope
    The specific objective is to allow the most marginalized and disadvantaged households (low caste, Dalit, ethnic minority groups, female headed households) in four districts of the Eastern Development Region to effectively participate in and benefit from the development of the agricultural value chain. High value crop production, vegetable farming and other income generation activities will be promoted by the Project. It is foreseen to implement a comprehensive development package comprising of social mobilisiation and literacy and numeracy courses, capacity development and skills training, provision of seed packages, micro irrigation, linkages to Commercial Agriculture Development Project and its matching grant funds.
