This is the first annual report of the Pacific Private Sector Development Initiative (PSDI), a regional technical assistance project by the Asian Development Bank, cofinanced by the Australian Agency for International Development. It covers PSDI activities from inception in early 2007 to 31 December 2007. The report describes PSDI, its objectives, and the goals for 2007, and gives an overview of PSDI implementation: strategy, structure, main output categories, linkages and partnerships, and finances. It summarizes the portfolio of subprojects funded under PSDI, provides an analysis of PSDI performance to date using a results-based monitoring and evaluation tool, and presents a strategic outlook on future PSDI operations.
