ADB's Annual Report 2000
For Asia and the Pacific and for the Asian Development Bank (ADB), 2000 was a year of sustained progress. The economy
of developing Asia and the Pacific grew. ADB was able once again to focus on its fundamental development role and
to consolidate its position as a broad-based development institution. Lending rebounded to $5.85 billion in 2000,
with resumed activity in several of its developing member countries.
The Annual Report of the Board of Directors to the Board of Governors reviews these events, covering
- ADB's operations, projects, internal administration, and financial management
- separate report on the activities of the Special Funds
- special theme chapter on developing a child
- complete financial statements and opinions of the independent auditors
- a statistical annex and appendixes
296 pages. Office of External Relations.
