This publication presents the results of a regional technical assistance for Promoting Regional Cooperation in the Development of Insolvency Law Reform (RETA 5975). RETA 5975 is a sequel to an earlier regional technical assistance for Insolvency Law Reform (RETA 5795). It draws upon experiences of Indonesia, Korea, Philippines and Thailand, in relation to the three focus areas:

1. development of sound insolvency frameworks for handling cross-border insolvencies;
2. regional cooperation, especially in formal and informal workouts and restructurings; and
3. the intersection of laws relating to secured transactions and insolvency.
