Seminannual Report on Project Administration and Technical Assistance Implementation for the Period Ending 30 June 1999

The semiannual reports on project administration and technical assistance (TA) implementation cover the Bank's operations during the periods ending 30 June and 31 December.

The present report reviews the performance of the Bank's operational portfolio in the first half of 19991. It highlights the actions taken to improve project quality, summarizes the Bank's loan and TA portfolio performance, and discusses the performance of individual developing member countries (DMCs) in implementing loans and TAs.

  1. The third Operations Review Meeting for 1999 to discuss loan and TA performance for the first half of 1999 was held on 16 September 1999. The meeting was chaired by the President and attended by the three vice-presidents and representatives of the departments and offices concerned.
