Tuvalu

The Bank has not made any loans to Tuvalu. During the period, one TA, approved in 1997 to strengthen economic and financial management, was being implemented, while two TAs were completed and no new ones approved. The TAs have furthered policy dialogue with the Government, which may lead to a program loan supporting wide-ranging reforms. Staffing of Government agencies with qualified people remains a problem.
