India: Rajasthan Urban Sector Development Investment Program
Resettlement Planning Documents

The Rajasthan Urban Sector Development Investment Program (the Program) will optimize social and economic development in 15 selected towns in Rajasthan through investments in urban infrastructure (water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, urban drainage, and urban transport and roads), social infrastructure, and infrastructure support to cultural heritage. The Program will also provide policy reforms to strengthen urban governance, management, and support for urban infrastructure and services.

The Local Self-Government Department, the executing agency (EA) through its Project Management Unit, has prepared draft short resettlement plans for sample sub-projects in three Program towns of Alwar, Jaisalmer, and Jhalawar-Jhalarapatan.

To ensure compliance with the Government and ADB's policies and requirements on resettlement, a Draft Resettlement Framework to guide the implementation of future subprojects has also been formulated by the EA.
