INO:Power Transmission Improvement Sector Project
Compensation Policy Framework and Procedural Guidelines

The Power Transmission Improvement Sector Project will finance a range of subprojects that will improve the quality of power supply and the efficiency of it's distribution to various outer islands in Indonesia. The Project will involve the construction or improvement of transmission lines and substations in Java and Kalimantan. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), the Project's Implementing Agency, prepared this draft Compensation Policy Framework and Procedural Guidelines (CPFPG) which serves as the resettlement framework that sets out the guidelines for the preparation of resettlement plans for future subprojects that might entail resettlement.

In addition, PLN also prepared a draft resettlement plan for the Barikin-Tanjung 150kV Transmission Line and Substations Core Subproject which also serves as a model for future subprojects.

INO: Barikin-Tanjung 150kV Transmission Line and Substations Subproject Resettlement Plan [ PDF: 975kb | 26 pages ]

The Barikin-Tanjung subproject will entail the construction of a 150 KV Transmission Line (T/L), a substation in Tanjung and the expansion of a substation in Barikin. PLN expects that impacts on land will be minimal as the subproject will require land acquisition only for the new substation and for the T/L tower bases. Read this plan to learn how PLN proposes to mitigate the involuntary Resettlement impacts of the Project.
