PAK: Balochistan Road Development Sector Project
Resettlement Framework and Resettlement Plan

The Balochistan Road Development Sector Project (BRDSP) aims to widen and improve 1,400 kilometers of roads in Balochistan Province of Pakistan. Two national highways (NHA), 3 provincial highways (CWD) and 3 access roads (CWD) have been selected as "core" project roads. Despite efforts to minimize the resettlement effects, about 344 persons will be affected. Of them, 274 are landowners and 70 are tenants.

The Executing Agencies of the project, National Highway Authority-Regional Office (NHA) and Communications & Works Department of Government of Balochistan Province (CWD), have prepared this resettlement plan.

NHA and CWD have also prepared this resettlement framework (RF) which sets out the policy and procedures that will be applied in the preparation and implementation of the resettlement plans in subprojects, if required.
