PRC: Shen-Da Power Transmission and Grid Rehabilitation Project Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plan

The planned Shen-Da Power Transmission Line and Rural Power Grid Rehabilitation Program will provide increased, secure and reliable power supplies to the various users of electrical power in the southern region of Liaoning Province in the People’s Republic of China.

The construction of the project will require several hundred hectares of land thereby displacing farmer and worker households from their productive land, homes and community structures. Land usage will also be restricted in transmission line corridors.

This plan will show how ADB’s partner Executing Agency, the Liaoning Electric Power Co. Ltd. (LEPC), proposes to face the challenges of mitigating the negative impacts of development.
