Governors' Seminar

Closing Remarks by
Haruhiko Kuroda
President, Asian Development Bank

3 May 2008
Madrid, Spain

Thank you very much.

As expected, this has been a truly stimulating and useful discussion, and I thank you all for your active participation. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our Governors and Alternate Governors for their statements, and I look forward to continuing our dialogue throughout the implementation of Strategy 2020. I would also like to thank Mr. Gowing for his excellent moderating.

We all know that much hard work lies ahead. But I am confident that we can achieve what we have set out to do. Here, I would like to close this Seminar by thanking all those that helped us establish Strategy 2020, and by urging all of you to consider new partnerships with ADB, and to join us to end poverty in the Asia and Pacific region.

Thank you.
