5.5 Construction and Installation

Construction and installation usually comprise a phased series of tasks, organized by discipline (e.g., geo-technical, civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.). The tasks are usually interrelated and interdependent (see section 4); for example some tasks may rely on equipment having being delivered, foundations being installed, or resettlement actions. Some tasks may depend on external influences (e.g., weather) or actions by third parties outside the contract (e.g., military clearing of mines and unexploded ordnance).
