2. What is the role of the ADB European Representative Office?

ADB European Representative Office (ERO)īs main responsibility is to build up ADB strategic partnerships and working relations with:

  • The 17 ADB European member countries
  • Europe-based multilateral and bilateral development and financial institutions
  • the European business community
  • Non-governmental Organizations
  • Europe-based media
  • Academia
  • other interested parties in Europe

3. How can a consultant or a company participate in biddings related to ADB-funded projects?

ADB provides an integrated Consultant Management System (CMS) for registration and maintaining profiles of both consulting entities and individuals. Entities and individuals previously registered in DACON and DICON do not need to re-register; existing profiles have been transferred from the former systems to the new CMS.

Consulting entities and individuals are encouraged to visit ADB Consulting Services Recruitment Notice (CSRN) which provides detailed information on the consulting services required for ADB financed or administered projects.

4. How can I find information about a specific ADB-funded project?

You may visit the website's Projects section, where information about ADB-funded projects, is readily available. It contains project profiles and reports, information on technical assistance projects, and operations evaluation.

You can also do a search by keying in the project name in the project summaries database. If you do not know the name of the project, you can use the 'search a region/country' function and choose the country in which the project will be carried out.

5. How do I order copies of ADB publications?

All ADB publications are free online. View our catalog [ PDF ]. You can also receive hard-copies of ADB publications from adbpub@adb.org.

6. Does ADB have a research and training institute?

In 1997, ADB established the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) in Tokyo. Its mission is to help build skills and knowledge related to poverty reduction and socio-economic growth in Asia-Pacific developing economies. ADBI conducts applied research, organizes policy seminars and implements capacity building and training initiatives.

7. How can I apply for a job at ADB?

Please visit ADB employment opportunities site at http://www.adb.org/Employment/default.asp. For your application to be considered, you must complete ADB's application form. Applications should be in English and should reach the Human Resources Division no later than 5:00 p.m., Manila time, on the specified closing date. Accomplished application should be sent as an attachment to the e-mail address indicated in the advertisement.
