Food Prices and Inflation in Developing Asia: Is Poverty Reduction Coming to an End?

Economics and policy research supports ADB's policy objectives and operations, and assists developing member countries in policy making. This part of the Economics and Research Department's (ERD) research program aims to analyze the determinants of long-term growth in developing Asia.

One of these determinants is inclusiveness, i.e., increasing the contribution of employment to growth in open-market-oriented economies in a rapidly integrating Asia. Another determinant is competitiveness of firms, which will ensure efficient growth that is equitable. See ongoing and earlier research.
