6-10 June Learning Alliances for Scaling Up Innovative Approaches in the Water and Sanitation Network Delft, the Netherlands IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre, and UNESCO IHE Institute for Water Education, both based in Delft, the Netherlands, are organizing an international symposium on Learning Alliances, with a focus on conceptual development and practical experiences acquired so far in the water and sanitation sector.
6 July IEEE 3rd International Workshop on Technology for Education in Developing Countries Kaohsiung, Taipei,China The workshop will discuss various issues involved in developing new techniques and on novel uses of technology for education in developing countries.

25-26 August Conference on Trends in the Management of Human Resources in Higher Education Paris, France The conference aims to identify key issues related to strategies for and management of human resources and, where appropriate, make recommendations for actions by higher education institutions (HEI). It also meant to provide opportunities for benchmark-like comparisons and for exchange of best practices.

Bangkok, Thailand Multi-grade teaching has been in practice for centuries, yet as a modern teaching/learning methodology, it has remained relatively neglected. This conference supports the notion that multigrade teaching is an appropriate methodology for delivering quality instruction and learning.
4-7 October 2nd Global Youth Employment Summit (YES) Boca del Rio, Mexico The Summit will review strategies within the context of the YES Framework for Action; successful programs, policies, and projects will be highlighted and shared among Summit delegates.
5-6 October Seminar on Education and Training Prospects in Asia ADB, Manila ADB staff will review the past history of technical education and vocational training in Asia. The meetings will be divided into 2 afternoon sessions starting with low-income country experiences on the first day and followed by middle-income country experiences on the second day. Opportunity for developing overall strategies will highlight sessions.

7-9 December 1st Asia Pacific and Greater China Regional Innovative Teachers' Conference Executive Center, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore About 150 teachers, winners of their respective national competitions organized by the local Microsoft office, will attend the conference. The conference will recognize their creativeness, innovation, and the often challenging work of bringing education to a higher bar through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
