Title: Associate Systems Administrator
Department/Division: Office of Information Systems and Technology (OIST)

1. JOB PURPOSE:

To set up, install, configure, administer and evaluate server infrastructure for messaging, document repository and collaboration application software.

2. EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

Administers e-mail, document repository and collaboration infrastructure ADB-wide, supports Service Desk analysts, field engineers, Field Office IT supports and when necessary, end-users.

Researches, plans, designs, evaluates, tests, sets up, and administers server infrastructure for messaging, document repository and collaboration application software under the general guidance of the supervisor.

Resolves technical problems with the messaging, document repository and collaboration infrastructure in order to maintain systems reliability and availability.

Assists Systems Development, Data Center Operations, and other sections' staff in resolving problems relating to messaging, document repository and collaboration application.

Creates procedures and uses software to gather statistics on network and computer resource utilization and performance and assists with the tuning of the messaging, document repository and collaboration systems to achieve desired performance levels.

Communicates with system vendors to identify solutions to system problems, explores capabilities of software under development, and maintains current knowledge of technology; ensures up-to-date knowledge of network and computer operating systems trends and developments.

Establishes, maintains, and supports messaging and document repository infrastructure in resident missions and regional offices.

3. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, computer engineering or equivalent.

4. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level.

Five years in Domino messaging administration.

With administration and technical support knowledge and experience in:
Operating systems: Windows (all versions)
Application: Domino/Lotus Notes, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Sametime, Domino Document Manager

Written and oral communication skills in English.
